Job Opening: Member Advocate

At Future Super, we're changing the way super is done. By giving people a chance to invest their life savings in companies that don't harm the planet, we're showing the power super has to change the world. With a fast growing, passionate team we’re looking for a Member Advocate to be the voice of the members in our contact centre.

You'll love this job if:

  • You are passionate about providing people with excellent customer experience
  • You love talking to people every day
  • You're into full-hearted work, and are keen to work in a purpose-driven workplace with like-minded people
  • You have lots of energy and personality, and want to channel this into their day-to-day work
  • You want to use your communication and people skills to have an impact on important environmental and social justice issues, and to shape the future of Australia’s economy for good

You’ll have responsibility for delivering a positive, professional and (above all) human experience to our members each time they contact us – whether by phone, email or other channels.

You will also talk to our members in person at conferences and other events (for example, the recent Bill McKibben tour that we supported, or the Sustainable Living Festival inMelbourne).

In this role you’ll get your hands dirty and get stuff done! We’re in high growth start-up mode, so everyone at Future Super is digging in to make things happen.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has great communication skills - both written and verbal
  • You have a keen eye for detail and can follow (or create) processes to make your job (and other people's working lives) easier
  • Has an understanding of Future Super’s purpose and ability to apply this to member interactions
  • Who thrives on interacting with lots of different people every day
  • Who is able to talk about complex processes in a straightforward way
  • Who enjoys problem solving and learning on the go
  • Who thrives on having lots of things on the go, and know how to prioritise

Generous staff benefits, including 14 weeks' parental leave for all genders and a generous parental leave superannuation package, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), formal training and continuous improvement opportunities, healthy office snacks and membership to Bicycle NSW as part of our sustainable transport policy.

Future Super is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applications from Indigenous Australians, people with disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, mature age workers and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people.
